The Outdoor Education Group recognizes the value of risk as a teaching tool. Young people are increasingly exposed to risk as they mature. Our role is to facilitate a supportive environment where the foreseeable risks are managed, giving students the opportunity to learn how to recognise risk and respond appropriately.
Our size allows us to support a dedicated Risk Management team to continually manage, monitor, review and update our internal policies and procedures focused on safety and efficiency at all times.
At The Outdoor Education Group we believe the risks of participating need to be weighed against the risks of not participating. Our work provides students with an experience that challenges subconscious beliefs about adventure, nature, risk, individualism, comfort and material wealth.
Our Risk Management team is highly regarded, presenting regularly at conferences in Australia and overseas as part of our commitment to sharing knowledge within the outdoor education industry.
