About OEG
OEG is one of the largest providers of journey-based outdoor education in Australia. Over the last 27 years we have delivered over 2 million student days in the outdoors. We have around 140 permanent staff in NSW and Victoria.
We currently run school programs across Australia. Programs run from one-day to four-week expeditions, including dedicated Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journey programs. The majority of these programs are journey based and operate in public land (National Parks and State Forest). They typically involve activities such as bushwalking, canoeing, cycling, sea kayaking and rock climbing.
We also run centre based school camps. OEG owns three camps: two in NSW; Biloela Bush Camp and Camp Wombaroo; and one in Victoria: the Eildon Centre. We also lease Camp Jungai in Victoria's Rubicon Valley specializing in indigenous education. These camps offer a huge range of program options for school camps, community groups, sporting groups and religious groups in both states.
Our size allows us to support dedicated risk management, in-house training and curriculum development teams. OEG provides training in Cert IV and Diploma courses as well as Traineeships. We work in partnership with training providers such as Murrindindi Training Institute in Victoria and Western Institute TAFE in NSW to deliver industry leading vocational courses.
